A prosthodontist is a specialist who is registered with the Dental Board of Australia in the field of prosthodontics. They undergo a minimum of three years of full-time advanced training, allowing them to treat complex and difficult cases where your general dentist cannot. A prosthodontist is an effective cosmetic dentist possessing advanced expertise and an appropriate educational background in this field.

A prosthodontist also has the requisite skills to coordinate and administer a full mouth reconstruction involving coordination of multiple treatments and different specialties. As the title suggests, prosthodontists further specialise in creating natural and life-like prosthetic devices to replace your missing teeth.
